The one behind ActiFe

Hi, I'm Gabriel.
This is the trail
so far.

Building ActiFe in whatever time I can find between hikes, workouts, filming, and a day job, one feature at a time, from wherever the last challenge left off.

My story, and why I built this

My story

I'm the one behind ActiFe, building it in the time I find between sport activities, filming various youtube videos, and my day-to-day job. I'm often chasing a challenge, whether that's a calorie-burn challenge across a city or a hike somewhere like the Carpathians, Madeira, or the Dolomites.

ActiFe started as a way to solve my own problems and my relationship with sport and nutrition. After having wasted part of my 20s, now I am trying to live as much as possible, go out and explore while my body is capable.

Why I built this

Most of the tools I've looked at in the past did not fully offer what I wanted from them so I decided to build my own. I've used it for 3 months before launching it publicly, after having lost 10kg using it. After proving the concept through myself, I published the website to a broader audience to see what else people want from such a tool.

It's built by one person, so it moves slower than a funded app would, but everything in it is there because I wanted to use it myself.

After having wasted part of my 20s, now I am trying to live as much as possible
