If the barcode doesn't return values for your product, enter the name and nutritional information yourself and log the entry as you normally would. Logging it saves that barcode to your own food database, so scanning it again afterward should pull it up automatically.
A product's nutritional info can change as manufacturers adjust portion sizes or ingredients. If a scan looks wrong, correct the values on the Add Food form before logging; that saves them to your barcode database, so future scans return the fixed numbers automatically. Editing an entry after it's already logged won't save the fix, so correct it at log time. Fix it once, and it's fixed for good.
It depends on your goal, whether that's losing weight, gaining weight, or building muscle, each needs different amounts of protein, carbs, and fat. Head over to the Settings tab, set your objective and activity level, then use Recalculate to get suggested macro targets you can apply directly, or enter your own numbers manually.
